MMF - Gear Tracker Mobile
Zappos wanted to reach runners in a completely new way, and we rolled out this awesome new "sponsored feature" as part of the MapMy apps, both web and mobile. Based on the fact that running shoes have a finite lifespan of about 400 miles before they begin to break down, we created Gear Tracker, using hooks into the enormous Zappos shoe database. Now runners can keep track of exactly how many miles they've put on each pair of shoes, reducing the risk of injury, and Zappos can send them reminders and suggestions for when it's time to buy a new pair. This project was a true win-win for the user as well as the client.
